For this client, we opened up the kitchen to better take advantage of the building’s views and natural light while also creating a space that better suited their tastes and needs. Having a great relationship with a client who let me run with my ideas allowed the dining room to become everything I envisioned. At Home in Fairfield County: Passion Project
I saw an editorial in the most recent At Home in Fairfield County that I loved. The article featured a 1939 Colonial designed by Lisa Friedman with incredible art sourced by Mar Silver. When looking at the photos of this beautiful interior, I felt like I could easily live in this home. The neutral palette and use of high end, sophisticated vendors in rooms with great proportions and scale lead to a timeless, well executed look.

The current issue of At Home in Fairfield County features a kitchen I designed for a client in Darien.
The current issue of At Home in Fairfield County features a kitchen I designed for a client in Darien. This was a great project with so many fantastic elements. The goal was to design a functional, yet beautiful, kitchen, suited to the owner’s love of cooking and family life with a young child and two dogs. With that in mind, we chose materials that look great but are durable and easy to maintain. In addition, we opened up the area so the owner could enjoy conversation with friends and family while cooking. The kitchen features two islands, a polished marble backdrop, and a gorgeous butler’s pantry. If you haven’t seen this issue, pick up a copy today!
